The reason women are attacked is simple: predators choose smaller, weaker targets to ensure there success. Women and elderly people get attacked, professional football players do not.
It’s unfortunate that most women do not even study basic self defense and strategy. Traditionally more men enroll in martial arts programs than women to the tune of about 10 to 1. Well all that’s changing.
The biggest barrier for women enrolling in martial arts programs is that they are intimidating. Martial Arts suggest an extremely “testosterone charged” environment. The image of men with a lot of egos and attitude has kept a lot of women from even considering a martial arts program. Instead you choose to go to the gym, enroll in yoga, pilates, take a spin class or even cardio kick boxing (this is NOT a martial art). Even though those are worthy pursuits for your body and your spirit, they do little for you piece of mind. How many times would you consider adding regular self defense training to your schedule?
How SAFER would you be if you could identify a potential threat before it was too late?
How much better would you feel if you had a concrete PLAN of escape and survival?
How much more CONFIDENT would you be if you had real proven skills you could count on when you needed them?
Self Defense skills are perishable!!! You need to practice them regularly. Now, you don’t need to enroll in a lengthy and expensive martial arts program, but if you can find the right type of training in a format that is designed to give you the most benefit for the least amount of time invested.
This is why the 10 Lesson Self Defense Program offered by the Self Defense Company was developed. In just a handful of lessons you will have a clear understanding of what your capabilities are and how to avoid potentially dangerous and deadly situations.
This program is developed from years of trial and error and documented field studies of real life situations. The methods were designed so that ANYONE regardless of size, age or experience can use them with success.
Imagine walking into a friendly and inviting environment with a professional instructor who is more like a coach than a drill instructor.
It is the mission of the Self Defense Company to make sure the people who need this information most, receive it. I’ve been fortunate enough to be trained and mentored by the who’s who in the martial arts and self defense world. I have been given the knowledge and responsibility to make sure that this material and training remains unaltered and intact. It is important that EVERYONE with the desire to protect themselves be given the means to do it.
